From controversy to leader in “washroom wellness”

In 2019 our company owner identified an opportunity to re-invent the humble toilet with health and wellbeing benefits to change our everyday life in the bathroom.

In 2019, and we launched our site as www.standardtoilet.net and the innovative patented toilet design was discovered by the media and only one of the toilet’s feature was publicised…

The media latched onto the fact that it is estimated that in the United Kingdom alone, extended employee breaks costs industry and commerce an estimated £4 billion per annum. Moreover, medical studies have suggested that using the traditional WC can contribute to swollen haemorrhoids and the weakening of pelvic muscles.

We received huge amounts of media attention (good and bad) from world-wide media platforms. From BBC Breakfast, The Times, Daily Mirror, Daily Telegraph, The Daily Mail, The Guardian, Have I Got News For You, ABC News, USA Today, CBS News… to name just a few.

Media Coverage

The media coverage we received was huge and often controversial.

We found the media focussed on just one of the commercial benefits which caused a stir and conflicting opinions world-wide.

So, this is the ONLY feature that the audience ever got to know about… … so, we thought it was time to showcase all the other health and wellbeing features ands SLANTY was born. We rebranded and launched the exciting new collection of sloping toilets and wanted to explain that this toilet is much more than simply reducing employee work breaks.

Our unique patent application, applicable throughout the UK and worldwide, offers unique opportunity to improve employee heath & wellbeing with business efficiency through reduced lengthy toilet breaks and reductions in social media usage on the toilet. SLANTY® isn’t just for employees but customers, family, care centre residents, theatre goers and many more!
